In light of the publication of Learning from Deaths, the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) received a request from the contract commissioners (HQIP) to deliver training for Structured Judgement Review (SJR) more quickly.
To support this, the National Mortality Case Record Review (NMCRR) programme team will deliver 15 training sessions during August 2017 – January 2018 throughout England.
The next training session to be held in Cumbria will be on the 7th December 2017.
Attendees will be trained on:
- how to conduct mortality reviews using our Structured Judgement Review methodology and tool
- be informed of the background of the programme, how to make explicit judgments
- given case studies to test skills and
- the chance to ask any questions about the programme.
The sessions will also train attendees to become Tier One Trainers with the ability to cascade training to colleagues wanting to become reviewers.
Two colleagues from each Trust are welcome to attend the NMCRR training.
We look forward to seeing you at the training sessions.
