Understanding & Dealing with Variation (Cohort 1)

In partnership with the Advancing Quality Alliance (AQuA)


This workshop is suitable for:

  • People interested in how they could use measurement to support their improvement work
  • People in finance or business information roles, to improve their ability to support improvement work
  • People working in improvement roles, who would like to learn more about how to demonstrate the impact of their work


By the end of the course it is hoped that you will:

  • Have an basic understanding of the 7 steps of measurement for improvement
  • Be able to identify and choose measures and know the three types of improvement measures
  • Have an understanding of the importance of clearly defining measures and tools to support this
  • Have a basic understanding of the difference between common and special cause variation
  • Have an opportunity to learn different tools for analysing and presenting improvement data to include: have used a run chart to plot improvement data; have built an SPC chart to plot, analyse and understand improvement data; and understanding of how to construct a Pareto chart and its use

 

Please note that tea/coffee will be available from 9am for a prompt 9.30am start. Lunch will not be provided.
