Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: An Introductory Day for Long term health conditions
If you are a Band 4 or above in Cumbria and work in a clinical role with patients who have cancer or other long term conditions (such as Heart Failure, Diabetes or COPD) or are involved with palliative care then this course could be for you! This course is open to Cumbria Partnership Foundation Trust staff, Morecambe Bay Hospital Trust staff, North Cumbria University Hospitals Trust staff and Hospice staff.
This course is aimed at all kinds of health professionals including (not an exhaustive list) – General Practitioners, District Nurses, Physiotherapists, Macmillan nurses, Social workers, OT’s, Speech and Language therapists, Specialist nurses and Consultants. It introduces the use of cognitive behavioural principles in day to day physical health settings adding to the skills you have for use in your clinical practise.
