This week marks the start of LGBT+ History Month 2021

LGBT+ History Month is celebrated every February to increase the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community, their history, lives and experiences. This year’s theme is body, mind and spirit and the North East and Yorkshire Leadership Academy (NEYLA) have highlighted that a range of events are taking place across the NHS.

We are the NHS: People Plan for 2020/2021 – action for us all calls for leaders to create a kind, compassionate and inclusive culture, and through understanding the lived experience of those that are different we can work to create a sense of belonging for all of our NHS people.
