LOC in the Lakes 2022 will be focusing on health inequalities, considering how we can think and work differently to improve health and wellbeing for the people of north and west Cumbria. We’ll be looking at how we can take more action now to enable individuals to start well, live well, age well and die well.

Fuse Research Programme Meeting - Planning for a healthier future: Priorities and Practicalities

This half day session will present perspectives on this topic from academics, practitioners and policy makers and will ask attendees to consider how we can effectively use planning to deliver a healthier future, and what the priorities and practicalities should be going forward.

Collaborative approaches to addressing health inequalities through the arts

The South Tees Arts Project is innovative cross-sector, locality-based dance and health project in South Tees (Tees Valley). STAR involves an active research strand that aims to understand better the physical and mental wellbeing benefits of taking part in dance and wider arts activities and how these support participants through creative and engaging ways to express themselves and develop self-awareness, identity, social and emotional learning skills.
