Open to practitioners and researchers from the North East and North Cumbria, at all career stages.

Social care is becoming an increasing priority for research councils who fund research activity, including the NIHR.

As a result, there are a growing number of opportunities for research relevant to those who come into contact with social care.

However, up until now, social care research has not benefitted from established research capacity, opportunities, or supportive structures.

To address this, the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) and the Clinical Research Network (CRN) in our region are working to build capacity and support capability in social care research.

As part of this work, they would like to convene a Social Care Research Special Interest Group.

The group will bring together practitioners and researchers at various stages of their career, and with varying levels of research experience, who are interested in social care research.

If this is relevant to your area of work or interest, please join.
