A community fun day has been planned to engage with local people and promote the fantastic services which work out of Wigton Community Hospital.
Since the development of the hospital in recent years from an inpatient unit to a thriving health and wellbeing hub, it has been noticed that there is a general lack of awareness in the community about what goes on inside the building – the open day plans to address this.
Taking place on Sunday 21 August 2022, 12pm – 4pm, it will bring people from the community together to learn about the hospital, think about health and wellbeing, and to have some fun.
Services, stalls and activities on the day include:
- Keswick and Solway District Nurses
- Wellbeing Service
- Rehab Centre
- LINK Service for Children and Young People
- Every Life Matters
- Café Shan
- Temon Farm treat box
- Wigton Tae-Kwon-Do
- Treasure hunt
- Face glitter and temporary tattoos
- Plus much more!
COMMUNITY TRANSPORT – There will also be a shuttle bus running around Wigton, bringing people to the hospital site.
ALL ARE WELCOME! Please share these details with your colleagues, patients/service users, and the wider community – it is sure to be a brilliant day.
If you are a local service or business and would like a stall at the event, please contact Emma or Hannah on 01946 853333 (OPTION 7).
