Venepuncture (Cohort 88)

PLEASE NOTE: Could ALL Health Care Assistants ensure they have completed their Care Certificate prior to attending this course.

This is a FREE course aimed Registered Nurses & Health Care Assistants working within Cumbria

This workshop will help you to develop a knowledge and understanding of venepuncture through:

• An introduction to anatomy and physiology
• Associated infection prevention, policies and controls.
• Blood collection systems and order of draw
• A safe learning environment to develop practical venepuncture skills in preparation for supervised practice in the workplace

Required elearning to be completed prior to attendance:

• For staff previously employed by NCUH prior to the merger -  261 Venepuncture eLearning 
• For staff previously employed by CPFT prior to the merger -  000North: Clinical Skills Online Venepuncture Training
