This practical workshop will help you understand that difficult conversations do not need to be as daunting as they appear.
You will learn how to manage difficult conversations with confidence, keep important relationships intact and maintain focus on your goals.
What the course covers:
- Types of potentially difficult conversations
- How the situation and emotions can influence response
- Personal triggers
- Finding the right mind-set
- Controlling the conversation with questions
- Using the GROW model (a problem solving model used in coaching conversations - Goal, Reality, Options, Way Forward)
Aimed at anyone wanting to build confidence and learn practical tools and techniques (to use with your staff, colleagues and managers) around:
- Delivering tough messages
- Bringing up poor performance
- Managing awkward situations
- Tackling unprofessional behaviour
- Managing difficult relationships
Please note that tea/coffee will be available from 12.30pm for a prompt 1pm start. Lunch will not be provided.
