Peripheral IV Cannulation (Cohort 67)

PLEASE NOTE: Could ALL Health Care Assistants ensure they have completed their Care Certificate prior to attending this course.

This is a FREE event for Health Care Assistants (Band 3&4) and Registered Nursing staff working within Cumbria 

The aim of this workshop is to develop both theoretical knowledge and clinical skills in order to perform peripheral IV Cannulation safely and efficiently.

Required elearning to be completed prior to attendance:

  • For staff previously employed by NCUH prior to the merger -  261 Cannulation & IV therapy
  • For staff previously employed by CPFT prior to the merger -  262 Cannulation & IV Therapy

Prior to attending the Peripheral IV Cannulation event, you should have attended a Venepuncture workshop, we offer Venepuncture as a separate workshop or as a combined Venepuncture and Cannulation event, the dates for both you can find here.
