This session explores a wide range of victims and perpetrators of domestic violence and the implications of this for practice.
Current research and statistics identify significant numbers of victims of domestic violence and abuse that are outside of the male perpetrator-female victim dyad. These include male victims, victims within the LGBTQ+ population and children who grow up in violent and abusive environments. Using our participants own words Dr Julie Taylor and Dr Liz Bates will discuss some of the findings from a series of recent studies and discuss the implications for service providers and policy makers.
